Which Claude plans include the Office add-ins?

The Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook add-ins are available on paid Claude plans; the Outlook add-in is the newest and has been in beta. We confirm current availability for your plan before rollout.

Can Claude send emails or Teams messages for us?

Only if you allow it. The Microsoft 365 connector is read-only by default. Write actions need admin consent and have to be switched on in Claude, so we usually start read-only.

Is this the same as Microsoft 365 Copilot?

No. Copilot is Microsoft's product and Claude for Microsoft 365 is Anthropic's, although Microsoft also offers Claude models inside some Copilot experiences. They can work together, and we'll help you avoid paying twice for the same thing.
